In mid-June Christina and Simon held an intimate wedding ceremony and reception for their closest family and friends. Simon and Christina met through work. Simon is an author and his latest novel came out rather recently entitled The Illusion of Separateness. Christina owns a PR agency. Their story is a truly touching one filled with love and understanding. The New York Times also covered their wedding and you can read all about their love story in the NYT article! Perhaps the best way to demonstrate the love and thoughtfullness of this sweet couple is to explain why the ceremony was held on a putting green at a retirment home. Christina is very close to her grandmother who is currently unable to travel. So in addition to a wedding in Paris in July, Christina and Simon held this special US wedding on the lawn of Christina's grandmother's residence. Simon's daughter Madeleine was in charge of the rings during the ceremony and delivered them on the ears of a stuffed rabbit. They then held a lovely reception at The Study in New Haven, so that Christina's grandmother could be witness their joining in marriage. It was such an incredibly sweet, thoughtful, loving day and I was honored to be there to capture it.
Congratulations Christina & Simon!
