2016 was one BUSY year! I had truly wonderful couples and families and feel truly blessed that I get to leap into this amazing work full time in 2017. Before the big leap happens, here’s a look back on the amazing love that I got to capture this year. Cheers! X

There is something truly wonderful about booking your ideal client. And Christina and Jordan were certainly that! For me, that means they are first and foremost head-over-heels in love with each other, that they are genuinely excited to take photos on their wedding day (not just hoping to get through it), and that they value family and friends more than the perfect sunny day. So when I skyped with these two when we first getting to know each other, I was instantly drawn to them and their love story and their plans for an amazing wedding day. First, they are adorable. They seek each others eyes naturally and often, and usually they fall into laughter from there. They held hands, stole kisses, and Jordan even scooped up Christina in the middle of their portraits to give her a twirl. Their love and joy was infectious and their family and friends were amazingly welcoming - making me and Brooke feel right at home like we were old friends with everyone there.
Christina and Jordan met at Springfield College when they were each accepted into the 5 year accelerated dual BS/MS, PA-C program. So you can imagine that they are both passionate and driven individuals. That means over the years they have been supporting each other long distance at times as they each pursued their career goals. Christina shared that "We became absolutely inseparable and spent every second we possibly could together, and we still do. We have been through a lot of tough times in school, going through the same rigorous course loads, without summer breaks, and the long hours of clinical rotations. But we have also made very special memories..." Needless to say, they are absolutely adorable and completely meant to be together. Congratulations and sending love to you both! XO
Laura and Johan met in college and their shared love of sport brought them together. The story of how they met and fell in love is super sweet. Laura tells it best so here is her rendition of it: "I played softball and Johan played baseball at Eastern Nazarene College. Both teams went to Florida for a spring training trip and stayed in the same hotel. Johan saw me in the hallway and started asking me how my games went so I told him about my hits that day and he said, "OK then, hit me a home run tomorrow." The next day, some of the baseball players came to the softball game to support and I hit a home run, so I gave the ball to Johan with a little note on it that said something cute that now I forget... Anyways, he got my number after that and any time he hit a home run or I hit a home run that season we would give the other person the ball with some sort of message on it." What this also tells you is that they are both pretty awesome players (If Scott had to wait for me to hit a home run for us to get together, it never would have happened!).
These two are fun-loving, a little goofy, always smiling and cracking jokes together. They make each other laugh constantly and the day was full of joy and laughter because their positivity and love is infectious. They wanted to have a laid back and fun day with the people they loved and the beautiful tent, along with great music, lawn games, great food, and a bonfire with s'mores at the end of the evening definitely delivered on the fun! Congratulations you two! XO
